Is it just London that has an election today?
There’s quite a mix actually.
Apparently a big turn out for about 143 councils across England, plus 129 Scottish MSP’s, plus some in Wales - some of these were also planned last year but cancelled due to

8 years into my voting life. Have never once voted in person.
Always get a postal, no stress on the day, no wasting my time.
Really think it should be the default tbh. Would ideally love digital voting a la Estonia but I feel we’re a long way from that.

Not just London, I just voted here in Birmingham for our mayor and our new police commissioner. Suspect Andy Street (current Mayor) will hold on to it, but he only won by 1% last time. That was a shame because the Labour candidate last time was a very close family friend of mine who I’ve known my whole life. But it wasn’t to be.

Mad queue at my polling station today - 5 of us all at once 
I much prefer to go in person it feels so much better.
Hardly anyone voted in my area tonight as a lot of the people recently got done for corruption
