I wish development on YouTube Music was faster
Still no cloud locker.
But - at least there’s an equivalent to Spotify Discover now!

Anyone who uses YouTube Music or Premium check your app as selected users are being offered a free google nest mini
I’ve ordered mine and it’s on it’s way!
I’ve received mine today. A nice Christmas present from Google.
I’ve yet to see it on my account.
£3? Where do you get that offer? (I can only find student at £5.49, Individual at £10.99 and Family at £16.99)
I’m always on the lookout for a cheaper/better deal - but going with YT Music is £16.99pm for a family plan to replace the Spotify Family plan of £17.99pm isn’t the best move. For an extra quid, we’ll keep our history.
But if it’s £3pm - even for 4x individuals, we’re in!
Ah, I see.
What a ripoff! I pay £1.25 through my Indian sub .
Do you have a VPN or ad slash tracker blocker on at the moment?
Try turn it off, kill the app and reopen.
Don’t cry for me _________
Can’t complain in all the time I’ve had it I’ve spent a total of £53 instead of £413 if I paid uk prices
Hopefully you will get it a bit longer maybe they making there way though accounts
I got this a couple of weeks ago, but no notice or anything when on the billing page, we’ll see if they enforce on the renewal date.
I also try to vpn every so often and use YouTube but I don’t think I have recently.
Seems like lots of people got it today from Reddit
If you go through the list not all countries require a payment method from that country, so there’s a chance.
Now been subscribed to YouTube music for a while, and I have to say it’s my favourite of the 3 big services (previously used Spotify and then Apple Music). I’m actually surprised it isn’t more popular. I’ve found the library of music beats both Spotify and Apple, especially as there are so many unofficial remixes etc available. The app seems to have improved as well and I find the recommendations are far more accurate than Apple.
I did notice though that I’m paying £15 per month which seems quite a lot - not sure why as it seems to be cheaper on their website now that I look. Also, if I subscribe to YouTube premium, does Music come free? There doesn’t seem to be much difference in price.
It costs more to subscribe on iPhone because of the tax.
Ah I guess that’s why. I better cancel and resubscribe!
Yes, premium includes music.
I haven’t used a competitor properly in a long time but I’m very happy with YouTube music. I don’t think it’s missing anything significant but even if it is, no ads on YouTube and the other premium features makes up for that. It has it’s own unique features as well.
Are you subscribed to the family plan? Obviously that costs a bit more.
Premium might be worth it if you also use YouTube a lot. It’s only a couple quid extra.
YouTube is 20!
It looks like Premium Lite should launch in later this year. Hopefully it’ll cost less than £7.99 though.
Have to say, the lack of good shows being commissioned at the moment on linear television is really starting to push me into spending more and more of the time I spend watching TV on YouTube.
There’s a lot of really well produced long-form content on there that I’m enjoying.
Just thinking back, it’s amazing how YouTube went from the site I only used in my web browser to watch short funny clips, to the site I used exclusively on my mobile phone and now I’m only watching YouTube on my TV with most things being medium/long form.
I’m looking forward to Premium Lite, I’m at the point now where I would pay for YouTube, but I really don’t want to be paying for their music service too, so I’m holding out for now.
