+1 for Department of Coffee and Social affairs. Love Monmouth too - the store needs to be bigger though!

Didnā€™t know you could get shares in them! Just seen their Crowdcube so going to get some! Really nice little chain. Shoreditch is my favouriteā€¦

Black coffee. Made in a V60 pour over. Been using a mix of Allpress coffee (handily with a store next to my house and another next to the office  ), as well as Pact coffee deliveries in between.

Pact can be really hit and miss. Does anyone have any recommendations for coffee subscriptions services? Not sure if I care to gamble on getting an average bag every now and again against the convenience and cost of it.

The Blending Room used to do a very good coffee subscription. Not sure if they still do or not.

Good recommendation! Looks like they do a subscription for Ā£7.50 a month. A touch more expensive than Pact for 1 month but cheaper if we get 6 months. I love the descriptions on the website. Clearly very passionate about coffee. Will give it a go.

Iā€™ve met James who runs it a few times. Passionate is the word. He definitely knows his stuff and the aroma from the lighter roasts he produces is outstanding!

Report back

I only really drink Mellow Birds instant coffee at home and espresso from coffee shops.

Also, tea is better than coffee, fite me.

In no world does Mellow Birds count as coffee. Hot, brown, mild flavoured water if Iā€™m feeling charitable

Bring it on :sunglasses:

And for those who recall Birds, hereā€™s a deep dive into coffee purgatoryā€¦:astonished: Itā€™s all flooding back nowā€¦

Iā€™ve often had similar feelings about lattes. Not an unpleasant drink, but ultimately just warm brown milk.

Nude Coffee Roasters in East London.

And just to be controversial, how did we get to where the answer to ā€œWhat sort of coffee?ā€, is a string of unrelated words often including ā€œskinnyā€, ā€œflatā€, ā€œfatā€, ā€œalmondā€ and almost certainly, ā€œsoyaā€. I swear I heard ā€œquornā€ the other day :rage:

There you are - itā€™s out! :weary:

Quorn coffee? Iā€™m concerned :flushed:
