One would think that while acquiring Rockstar may make sense to Sony (fanboys), itās unlikely it would make sense to Rockstar.
Definitely wouldnāt make sense to Rockstar and I donāt think Sony probably has enough money in the bank to pull it off
Iād get a PS5 over an Xbox if they had exclusive GTA though!
This is a huge get for Microsoft.
Iām not wild about existing franchises being bought and (presumably) made exclusive, but if someone is going to buy a huge third-party publisher, Iām glad itās Microsoft rather than Sony. There are plenty more avenues to play Microsoft exclusives (Particularly PC, but also Xbox Gamepass Streaming) than there are Sony exclusives.

Rockstar are owned by Take-Two and in terms of value would make the MS buyout of Bethesda the same as me spending 50p on a bag of sweets.

I would say MS really needs this. All the talk up till now has been about Sony having all the exclusives and theyāre not being any reasons to pick an Xbox over PS5.
This must change the calculus considerably. Those All Access bundles are looking even more tasty now.

It might not even make sense for Sony. GTA is so big that cutting off Xbox could be too much lost revenue to overcome.
Itās not like a new franchise where the exclusivity money helps to mitigate some of the risk.

Failed miserably at getting one on All Access, couldve got one normally but want All Access.
Games website is a joke where it has differnet queues for different pages.
Smyths Iām convinced didnt have any stock in the first place

Iām still in the queue for Game and Iāll leave the tab open and see what happens. Not massively bothered if I have to buy it outright but would have preferred the game-pass option.
I didnāt realise Game has different queues for different pages, no idea where Iām at with that!
I had to queue for the login page, then I didnāt realise there was a queue for the all access page too when i finally found it. itās pathetic. Because I couldnāt find the page and didnāt know there was another queue, Iāve got over an hour for Game so really not hopeful.

That was a manic half hour! I couldnāt get onto the trolley page on argos to check out but it was letting me do it via the app. Got all the way to the end and i thought it just timed out as got a blank white page in the app after payment. Switched to amazon and managed to bag an orderā¦ 10 minutes later I got an order confirmation from Argos! Fortunately my dad has said heāll have the second one as long as both turn up!
Disappointed couldnāt even get to do an all access package via smyths or game although to be fair I do have over 12 months game pass ultimate after visiting XO19 in London last year and getting a ridiculous amount of free game pass ultimate codes so definitely canāt complain.
