I’m fine with taking a quick video of myself and picture of my passport, however the passport photo was from a few years back before i grew a beard…

That’s like asking if you will get through passport control if you have dyed your hair, had your hair cut, grown a beard, got older or now wear glasses etc…

My passport photo was from 7 years ago when I submitted it, sans my current facial hair. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.

except I don’t think your passport photo allows you to wear glasses , (reflection) so if you now wear glasses for the id it could run into problems of verification :slight_smile:

Should be ok to wear glasses, but not any with any shade

You can just as long as “If you wear glasses that you cannot take off, your eyes must be visible without any glare or reflections.”

I wouldn’t worry about it, my passport isn’t even mine I just found it in the street and it’s served me well this far …

I did my video using CGI so I wouldn’t worry lol

That won’t be a problem getting an account but if you want an overdraft it could be then.

Check your credit report with Noddle as that’s the information Monzo will look at for credit decisions

Hi guys
I went through the process earlier, gave my passport photo and video of myself, now when i load up Monzo it says " My Card Has Arrived " which im guessing you press when the card is here.

Does this mean i have been accepted ?

There isn’t a credit check for an account to be opened, just the legal checks of your credit file for fraud and identity checks etc.

So far as I’m aware, generally a bad credit history doesn’t prevent a bank from confirming your identity.

You may not get an overdraft however, but that’s all.

It means you will have an account once the card arrives. If you want an overdraft, you can apply for one once you have activated the card.
