Thatās my logic too.
Iāll go into a branch and see if I can fix it that way.

It has been over two weeks now and still nothing from First Direct - pretty shocking really. I would have at least expected an email letting me know that there is a backlog and they will get to me as soon as they can. I went on their site where it says to contact them via live chat, but I cannot actually find the live chat anywhere.
I feel your pain! You can, as I did, ring every few days but youāll just be told theyāre working on it and will be in touch.
If it helps any, around about a few days after the two week mark, it opened within 24 hours. However, I couldnāt use it until the new telephone password arrived at which point I could.
Good luck!
I just phoned and they said it was set up yesterday and that everything should be in the post and with me soon (but warned about strikes). Great that it is done, but I did flag up that it was very disconcerting hearing nothing for two weeks to even acknowledge that I had made an application.
Might not look great with opening an account to simply switch within Lloyds Group. Iāve read that LBG can sometimes terminate all accounts if it thinks youāre taking the p***.
You have more than one account at any other places?
I switched from Lloyds to Halifax, then Lloyds introduced their switching bonus so I switched the Halifax account back to Lloyds and got the bonus there too.
No issues with that (so far, itās been a month+ I think since all that runaround was completed).
Nationwide have said I donāt qualify for the switch incentive. Pretty confident I do, transferred a Metro account over with 2 active direct debits, not sure what Iām missing.
Will get in contact with them and see what the issue is.
Edit: Turns out I forgot about receiving a £125 bonus last October! So my mistake. Praise for the Nationwide support team as they resolved my query in 5 minutes through the chat.
Awkward for the agent reminding you that.
Less than 5 mins and all done. Letās see how the rest of it plays out now.
Whoop RBS just sent me the £175 switch bonus (my switch to them completed on 27th september). Thats Lloyds, halifax, nationwide and RBS giving me £600 in total over the past few months for moving a spare account around!
Finally got the RBS mobile app running, having waited the three full days after āchangingā my mobile number.
How long do I have to use the app for before it will let me enable biometric approval?
Great to know the bonus can arrive well before the 29th of December . Did you keep a balance >Ā£1250 during this time?
I had a balance of Ā£1250 for about a week before i moved it to another account so you definitely donāt need to have it in the ad count the whole time
I had to wait 3 days for biometric approval to work for me.
Got my Lloyds Odeon tickets today and made use of them straight away.
Those that have switched to TSB via MSE for the £125 did you open the account with the link and then have to use the switch link to start a CASS after?
Usually found when switching banks that during the initial application you would usually get a checkbox to say did you also want to switch but not here unless I missed it.
Interestingly absolutely no need to upload driving license or utility bill etc that it mentions at the start.
TSB was a bit old school in the questions and layout. I can imagine Iām going to be switching to Barclays after the 16 December payout.
Then
It is quite an oldy bank. Canāt remember what stage I completed the switch.
The app isnāt great. Gotta wait for letters in the post to log in online.
My switch completed on the 23rd September but no bonus as yet
It wonāt be paid from TSB until 16th December.
True. When I asked chat they just referred to the 16th too.
I was referring to RBS as someone said they had already received theirs but had switched later than me they also say it will be paid by December
