on my iphone SE
it just says " connecting " at the top
tried a restart etc, internet is working fine on the phone with 4G and WiFi
down for anyone else ? downdetector saying 600 people reporting a problem at 18:00

I had a perpetual “checking for messages” about an hour ago. Cleared now and working as usual.
WhatsApp went down for a few mins at a time last night weirdly affecting only some people , maybe it’s happening again
