What’s everyone’s subscription stack right now?

I’m sure there was a topic on this but I cannot find it with the search.

Someone will probably merge me over.

Anyway, be good to see what list of subscriptions people have live right now, mainly to see if I’m missing out or need to trim down.

Anyway, here’s my current list:

  • Netflix - comes with my virg broadband but pay the extra for no ads
  • Amazon prime - can’t do away with that 1 day delivery. And the Boys for now.
  • Apple TV - free with Barclays Premier
  • Peloton - Got the bike, missus uses it too, makes sense
  • Apple Music - use it every day
  • Apple iCloud - need the storage, hide my email is useful
  • Monzo Max - good for the insurances
  • Revolut Premium - for the subscriptions
  • David Lloyd - is it a subscription? Who knows.
  • Now TV & HBO - will probably cancel when it’s up in November
  • Claude / ChatGPT - use it a lot for work.
  • AKT deodorant - best natural deodorant I’ve used, bit pricey
  • Whoop - keeps me thinking about healthier habits, worth it for me
  • Netflix
  • Prime
  • Disney+
  • Youtube Premium
  • Google One

I’m always on the fence about YouTube premium

  • Amazon Prime (for same/next day delivery)
  • Apple TV (free with Barclays)
  • Apple Music (currently free from EE)
  • Apple iCloud storage
  • AppleCare for iPhone
  • NordVPN (free through Revolut, they didn’t cancel it)

Spotify/Disney/Netlifx/gym/hello fresh/seed box and various others got cancelled.

It’s probably the last one I’d give up.

Have the family plan, £19.99 for no adverts and YouTube music is a decent price

Most of what I watch on TV these days is YouTube. Sure, there are a bunch of traditional shows that I still watch, but long-form on YouTube keeps me coming back.

I pay for Premium Lite. I don’t need all the other stuff, although I do with there was a Lite family subscription.

  • Amazon prime
  • Apple Music
  • Gym
  • Harvard Business Review
  • Times( international)
  • NYT yearly
  • Pet Insurance
  • Sky mobile and broadband
  • EE cos sky signal is ■■■■
  • Car
  • Life insurance

Of those I don’t think I’d willingly give any of them up.

Currently with Apple Music after a decade or so with Spotify.

It’s just not cutting it for me. The lossless was the big draw but Spotify finally got the hint.

That is a very fancy list

I was with Spotify for years as there was a loophole - you could buy an Indian Spotify gift card for about £15, change your location to India in your account, and then claim 1 year Spotify Premium.

Mine expired last month, so thought I’d try Apple Music as EE gave me 6 months free.

So far I think Apple Music sounds better than Spotify, although my knowledge of lossless etc is zero.

I wonder if they cracked down on something last month.

I bought a dodgy Spotify premium account off eBay around 8 years ago (when I was a poor, unethical student) that was meant to last a year - it lasted until last month.

Whut?

  • Amazon Prime (UK and Belgium)
  • Disney+ (Via Club Lloyds)
  • Google AI Pro (1-year trial for Students)
  • Revolut Metal (mainly for the subscriptions and shifted 75% of my spend on Rev since they introduced RevPoints)
  • Youtube Premium (Student)

£12 - SMARTY 200GB

£10.99 - Apple Music; thinking of changing this to Spotify

£7 - Monzo Perks

£5.99 - Netflix w/ Ads

£3 - Triodos

£1.59 - Google One 100GB; to be cancelled as I’ve now got 100GB through family sharing

Total: £40.57/month

iCloud+

Apple TV but to cancel now I’ve seen everything I wanted for now

Netflix is being replaced by my fire stick, as is Sky Stream

Amazon Prime (for delivery)

PlayStation Premium but will cancel this month

Everything else comes as standard, like workplace union, dental cover, my NHS prescription.

I’m sure I heard somewhere that they are releasing a new series or film every week this year.
