What if I loose my Phone?

So I have a Monzo app on my phone and that is the only way I can perform certain activities.

What if I loose my phone?

I think Monzo should go web or create some alternative way to access an account.

Guys any more suggestions or ways you know that Monzo allows for access to account I don’t know of?

There is a video from Monzo on YouTube titled something along the lines of “Crafting the Monzo call experience”.
Basically, there are some things Customer Operations can do for you when you lose yur phone.
You can call the phone number on the back of your card.

You’ll need to buy or borrow another phone.

If it does happen, an email to help@monzo.com and the team there will do their best to help. Obviously, your card will still work, you just won’t be able to see your balance or make payments from your account.

I put all my money in a pot for security reasons, so my bank card will be useless.


I think Monzo should think about providing am alternative web access so that if you don’t have a friend close by to lend you a phone you should be able to access your Monzo account through a PC to transfer money from your pot to your main account.

So you then need to go through the rigmarole of moving your funds into your current account every time you buy something. Hmmmm more stress then security IMHO.

It would be handy, but I don’t believe it’s in Monzo’s plans. Perhaps COps could do this over the phone or by email.

If it’s a big worry, keep the money in another account instead of in a pot. It can then be transferred using Faster Payments.
