The Season is upon us. The Coca Cola Advert is well underway, and Big Tubs of Quality Street are on offer at Tescos
I’m just sat watching Polar Express and feeling all Christmassy, and I wondered what the Forums favourite Christmas films are?
Polar Express lands squarely in uncanny valley territory, but it it’s certainly wholesome.
So everyone, other than Die Hard, what are the best Christmas films?
Scrooged. watch it every year
“Just Friends” is the greatest Xmas movie of all time and that is a fact!
Seriously. If you haven’t watched it then you need to get on it!
Die Hard 2?
Also several Christmas mornings as a child featured Watership Down on BBC One so they are now irredeemably linked, as well as a source of lifelong rabbit-centred trauma
Has to be Love Actually. I know it’s cheesy but I watch it every year.
The Santa Claus
Any of the Home Alone movies
Dare I say, Die Hard
I watch Home Alone every Christmas.
I am called Kevyn and was a pain as well as had ginger hair at the time as a child. I bonded to this movie instantly .
I also watch Die Hard every Christmas.
I saw this for the first time a couple of days ago - so after reading your post, thought you might enjoy it: Home Alone - Kevin returns
One of my ‘must watch every year’ films is ‘Santa Clause: The Movie’, with Dudley Moore and John Lithgow.
It’s just got this cheesy 80’s christmas nostalgia vibe to it that I just adore. Plus John Lithgow being the Villian of Christmas. Can’t be beaten, IMO.
Elf, Muppet Christmas Carol are two must watches for me.
I’m shocked The Muppet Christmas Carol hasn’t been mentioned yet.
Edit: great minds
Elf is my second favourite. Sounds like you’re my spirit animal!
