The Muppet Christmas Carol, every Christmas morning, without fail. It is the British way!
Gremlins
How has no one mentioned Trading Places???
Because it’s not a festive movie? (sorry too obvious I know)
Home alone 1 and 2 never get old
I guess if you’re comparing it to Die Hard it is far more grim, with none of the Christmas cheer
Die Hard 1
Die Hard 2
Elf
Santa Clause
Fred Clause
Am i the only person who hates Elf?
Home Alone 1 and 2
The Santa Clause
Die Hard
and yes it’s a christmas movie
Muppet Christmas Carol, all the way.
Also I like Jingle All The Way & Elf (which btw I realised the other day is about 16 years old, which is crazy!). And The Grinch. I also like Nightmare Before Christmas a lot but wasn’t sure if that counts! I tend to watch it at Halloween more than Christmas.
Off to Broadway Cinema next Sunday for the annual pilgrimage to watch It’s a Wonderful Life.
I’m not comparing it to Die Hard.
For me a festive movie is one with Christmas as a main theme, not a movie that happens to take place at Christmas time (hi Die Hard!).
As for me, I like Harry Potter and Home Alone the most. I am going to watch Harry Potter soon again
Where do you watch such old movies, by the way? I like some streaming services from here. Maybe you will find some cool movies for you on those too, good luck!
Why have you bumped this 10 months later and in September?
#scrooge
I have a bit of a tradition where I watch all of the Harry Potter movies between Christmas and New Year. Just as with the movies, the period between Christmas and New Year gets progressively darker and more sinister. They seem to fit well together…
87 days to go…
Considering making this a locked thread that only opens in December
Like those cookie jars that have time locks on them.
Whoah, everyone knows Christmas starts properly on October 1st.
Talk about strict moderation or what…
