What are you looking forward to this year?

Simple question.

I’ve put it in general because it doesn’t have to be Monzo related… Although it can be, if you want it to be :grinning:

I’m looking forward to :

  • seeing Nine Inch Nails at Royal Albert Hall later this month
  • DJing tomorrow night and again next month in Birmingham
  • the sequels to Fantastic Beasts and Wreck-It-Ralph
  • maybe going on some kind of holiday? Nothing booked yet though.
  • Monzo hitting a million customers :tada:
  • the new season of Doctor Who with a brand new Doctor!!! 53f491f2082d773b24000e16

It depends… my future has an indeterminable branch in a couple of weeks, so it really does depend how that goes. Well of course

That’s actually what I’m looking forward to… my interview on Wednesday. Hopefully I get the job!

Apart from that, my driving test is coming up… that’s making me nervous. Hope I pass.

And, of course, there’s the standard stuff:

  • Doctor who series 11
  • Incredibles 2
  • Wreck it Ralph 2

That’s everything this year. Further into the future, I’m looking forward to finishing university (in 2020).

Deliveroo would go out of business overnight if you stopped ordering so often

Tomorrow I’m at The Night Owl in Digbeth. Next month I’m doing a jazzy / mellow set in the middle of the day for a brunch event at Frederick’s Bar in the Jewellery Quarter. I’ve done a few different places in Digbeth and Central before as well, and once at the MAC in Edgbaston.

Cool! I was in the Jewellery Quarter just before Xmas. Might pop back in September…

So many things. Just off the top of my head and in no particular order:

  • A family member’s big birthday party

  • My daughter in a parade at our local festival (tomorrow)

  • An autism pride-type picnic get-together

  • Various camping holidays to amazing locations, with great day trips planned

  • A lot of visits to theme parks

  • My TA course. I’m training to be a Teaching Assistant, have started volunteering in a school one morning a week and I’m starting my qualification course in time for September, so get to look forward to working on that before the end of the year.

  • My daughter entering her preschool year, hopefully joining a new drama school and football team and moving away from the toddler class settings.

  • My daughter and I have made a decision to start going to the cinema every week. I’m quite looking forward to all the films we’ll get to see (and those comfy Vue recliner seats) and that we maybe wouldn’t otherwise have watched.
