Seems all assets are always called for from the server rather than being held locally at all. Including direct debit thumbnails, last amount paid / paid date.

This has been an issue for a while:

[iOS] Cache images locally (Pots, Profile, and merchant icons)

It is frustrating when poor mobile data speeds means that merchant icons, the profile pic, and pot images are slow to load - it looks glitchy. Why can these pictures and icons not be locally cached? (For merchant icons obviously just recent ones and not locally cache your entire transaction list). I understand the advantage of keeping a copy of your profile pic and pot images stored on Monzo’s servers for when you have to delete and reinstall the app, but keeping a local cache too would make t…

I hope the new Summary location doesn’t come to iOS. I really value seeing where I’m at with my budget. Summary, or a new version of it, should be front and centre, not hiding away behind, in a blue button.

I was hoping the RAG bar would be returned to the left to spend widget on the home tab, not for the widget to be removed completely.

I presume that the latest release is in preparation for adding more features, perhaps things such as account aggregation etc. Only a guess but they have freed up space on the home screen for something.

One of the things I loved about the new layout was the Summary widget. It was so useful to have that information there when you first open the app telling you how much you have left to spend and how many days until payday! - I hope they add it back!
