We're working on a new look for the Monzo app

Heya - love Monzo so far. Brand new user here

Really want the summary back firstly
Secondly - really don’t like seeing a list of all my home contacts on one of the main pages. No way to collapse and I find it weird having randoms in my banking app. I have thousands of phone contacts and I only synced so I could pay my dad something. Don’t want to spend hours pruning phone contacts (which maybe I should) or de-syncing, but I will only ever use Monzo to pay maybe two people, three most. There’s no way to refine the list that is permanently on show or collapse - and frankly my own spending habits and checking my own finances should be far more prominent and detailed than a feature like friends which I will use one in a blue moon

Thank you! Hope that’s helpful

You should be able to access summary from the pie chart on the home screen.

It’s by no means perfect but once you’ve used it for a while the contacts you actually pay float to the top of the list and you’ll never see “Guy who quoted for the bathroom in 2016”.

Edit: fixed the quoting

I really liked the old interface! But here are my main gripes:

-I can’t see my total balance including pots anywhere. Seems an obvious feature to be able to see all your accounts at once somewhere?
-I can’t see a list of all my pots, I can only see them individually if I swipe across from my card.

  • can’t see progress bar of pot goal unless you click into pot and that’s only a percent not a bar
-I don’t use my personal account, only joint, and in the old app I never needed to see it because you could stay in ‘joint mode’. Now every time I go into the app it goes to my personal by default so I’m always going into a blank app with no info and having to select my joint account which is annoying
  • the picture of the card takes up most of the screen. Why? What purpose does this have
  • the summary doesn’t say if I’m going to have money left and how much

Apologies if this has been mentioned anywhere before, but I’m finding with the new interface that Summary regularly opens the previous month when I open it from the home tab. It’s not on dates close to the beginning or end of a period, either - it’s the 23rd August now and it’s still opening July’s Summary (my budget runs from the 1st). Once I’m there I can scroll and select August’s budget, but it fairly soon goes back to showing me the wrong month in a future session. Happening on both personal and joint account.

If you are on iOS, it is returning soon. It’s already there for Android

Swipe top to bottom once the tray is at the lowest point.

Or click on your profile pic in the top corner.

Hi, i am trying the new interface for the monzo app from the Monzo Labs.
To be totally honest, i don’t like it all, i much prefer the original.

I just seems confusing and disjointed.

i hope you stay with the original interface,

many thanks

Just out of curiosity, what specifically don’t you like about it?

I just like having the balance on the main screen, and transactions, without accidental swiping left and seeing my pots and other features.
i think they were better at the bottom as before. its just simple, the new interface seems cluttered to me.
Don’t want my back account number splashed over the front screen ether. not much security there.

I have seen this as well.

I couldn’t agree less.

Having used the new design for a long time now, looking at the old one makes me cringe. It looks so cluttered and dated :-1:
