Oooft what’s a holdout group? ![]()
Also, still not available.
I’m TestFlight, does that matter?
I’m test flight and have it so shouldn’t.
I’ve toggled on, rebooted, off, rebooted, on again, rebooted,
Wonder if it’s because I only have two payments showing?
Sorry, my bad I’d forgot to actually commit the change to take you out of the holdout. ![]()
A holdout group is a subset of users that don’t get the new feature. It allows us to compare user behaviour before and after changes, so we can see if our new features we launch are having positive impacts for our user base. ![]()
Nice implementation, I don’t have much to go by but tapping the date and the pop up at the bottom is very smooth, listing payments due.
It’s probably been said already, but i always find myself tapping the personal icon at the top of the screen hoping to switch to my joint account… personally, i’d be happy to have one combined calendar…
It’s not just you - I’ve been tapping the icon too.
Also possibly mentioned upthread - the amounts are being cut off on my personal payments, and don’t show at all on the joint account.
(I’m on Android)
Is your screen zoomed opposed to default setting?
Default zoom level as far as I know!
Might be a stretch, and I haven’t read the entire thread to see if its been mentioned - but I currently try keep my subscriptions on a dedicated Google Calendar, just so I don’t get surprised on my annual bills etc, could a feature be implemented to sync to a Google or iCalendar or something as well?
All my bills go out on the 1st of the month so it’s not really helpful to me, plus it shows in upcoming transactions a few days before if a payment is either being credited or debited from the account so not sure why people would find this calendar thing helpful?
although what I would find helpful is a new layout on the accounts screen to indicate balance, then balance after upcoming bills and remaining balance available with overdraft somewhere on there too.
it would stop the multiple transfer transactions which is just pointless in the pots when paying out of them.
I think Monzo prides themselves on the money management options within the app.
Take that away and it’s very much the same as most other banks.
Good to see this now being open to everyone via Monzo labs. I really think this is a useful feature. I’ve been using another app Orbit for this exact reason and wished Monzo would adopt a similar view.
One thing that I find works well with that app is for days with multiple bills it would show +7 for example beside 1 icon. Whilst I feel seeing four icons in Monzo is better it would be good to have some indication of number of bills per day visually without clicking on it.
I’ve enabled this in labs but it’s not appearing. I’m on iOS latest app etc
You might be in the hold out group:
As it says in the first post this feature is to “make things feel a bit clearer when bills are spread throughout the month and payments are spread across personal and joint accounts” so if you’re fairly organised with payments dates and only have a personal account then it’s not really going to be of much benefit.
Just noticed flex amounts are showing up in the calendar view. So if I flex a couple of items it will show up on the day flexed. That doesn’t seem right. I can understand if it’s for the next payment period but it’s showing the total amount flexed.
I noticed the same thing and was initially a bit confused. I’ve since realised that (at least for me) it’s only showing paid off Flex transactions (e.g. if I’ve split a bill with someone else and paid off their portion of the Flex transaction early).
Because I look at my calendar far more often than I look at my banking app…
