This looks interesting and I meet the criteria so signed up. Will this help fix multiple direct debits from the same company only ever showing as one in the Scheduled list, along with them also being weekly?
Also, @LizM is there any updates on the wider JA improvements posted here :
All our bills come out from my personal account at the start of the month but the BUPA one is towards the end of the month. It creeped up on me unexpectedly in January and I had to get my partner to send me money to cover it.
Darn you work for paying so so early in December. January was a killer.
I’ve also signed up. This looks promising, I’ve always thought there’s scope to improve the list view of scheduled and recurring payments and this looks like a big step in the right direction
What would be great is some visual feedback that suggests when there might not be enough money to cover a bill, by extrapolating your spending for the month. It would be useful for example to see the last payment highlighted with a red border, for example, to suggest that if you continue spending at the current rate this month you may not have enough left in your account/pot to cover that bill
Firstly, I avoid having my credit card payments marked as monthly recurring in Monzo, because it tries to predict them using last month’s payment. No point it saying my Amex will cycle with £800, based on last month, if this month it’s going to be £8,000. So will it be possible to manually edit the amount?
Secondly, any plans to extend this to connected accounts? We moved our critical monthly bills to Nationwide because of Monzo not having a proper joint account.
I love the idea of this! I’m someone who organises money every month in Notes and it works well - but I’m always after new ways to make things simpler!
Thank you so much for the huge response to our call for testers. We were genuinely blown away by the level of interest! Because of that, we’ve invited 50 testers instead of the originally planned 20
If you volunteered, check your app now to see if you’re in. You’ll need to be on app version 7.12.0 to see it. You can find the feature by heading to: Payments tab → Scheduled → View Calendar
Thanks again to everyone who put their name down. If you didn’t get in this time, don’t worry, we’re hoping to share another update very soon.
And if you are in the test group, we’d really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feedback in the comments here as you use it. Your input is super valuable
One minor suggestion would be to be able to switch between personal/joint by tapping the icon at the top of the calendar screen instead of having to go back, switch on that screen and then go back to the calendar
