With the virtual cards, we give them names, could we have that name on the card, then when paying with our phones it’s easier example where it says virtual card it could have, food shopping
Dont see why they couldn’t allow local names not actually attached to the card Metadata just something Monzo can see and share with Apple Pay/Google Wallet. Attaching the name to the card I can understand why they’d say no for AML reasons
Hi @Penny. Welcome to the community.
This has been brought up countless times on the forum, and unfortunately it’s not something Monzo can do anything about. It’s a restriction applied by the mobile payment systems (Apple/Google/Samsung) as they only allow a certain number of card designs to be uploaded, adding text counts as a new design.
You may be able to add a nickname within the Wallet app which may help you. I know you can do that on Google Wallet but not sure about Samsung/Apple.
This isn’t possible as it would require the bank to upload a new image to the digital wallet provider of what you had written so it’s just not plausible.
With Google Pay you can give them a nickname, thats what I’ve done so I know whichcard is which
