Since we could use a virtual card to pay for subscriptions from a joint pot, we’ve noticed that they’re showing in the subs pot but not the main account, which is causing issues with upcoming bills. Any help would be appreciated!
I’ve used YouTube as an example. Payment was taken on the 26/7, but main account is only showing June as the last payment.
If you pay using a virtual card on a pot, it takes the payment directly from the pot (by design). So you will only see the payment in the pot, not the main account.
This is unlike Direct Debits where the money moves to the main account first.
If you mark the VC payment as repeating in the pot you can see the effect in “left to pay” on the pot each month, and also add the pot to trends.
As above, the transactions made on a virtual card that is attached to a pot come directly out of the pot, instead of like direct debits where the money is transferred to the main account and then taken.
Make sure you have the pot selected in “Edit activity” so that the transactions from the pot are shown in the main activity feed.
