US community forum plans

What are the longer term plans for a US community forum? I can imagine it being a complex decision but I personally would like to see the US product/community have its own forum and space to grow. Curious to hear othersā€™ views.

Apologies if the topic has been discussed already somewhere.

Iā€™m not sure how sharing the forum is going to work. Weā€™ve already got frustrations with iOS Vs Android and solo Vs joint accounts, adding UK Vs US will only add to the growing discontent.

It would be better to give the US a fresh start where they canā€™t see the UK having things like monzo points.

Just to add to that, Iā€™m assuming opting into things like Monzo Points is manual data entry from the Google Forms that they use, so you wouldnā€™t want the process clogged up with US users emails that arenā€™t eligible.

Itā€™s probably a ā€œsee how it goes for the time beingā€ decision.

Currently the US are fine with their own category but as it grows (if) and when more people sign up (if) it shouldnā€™t be too hard to spin off a clean forum for them.

If they did this now, it would be empty. Nobody wants to join an empty community! :warning:

Basically, this! Weā€™ll keep the US chat in here for now and see how it grows.

(Thatā€™s typically my philosophy for these things: keep things together until they outgrow each other)
