Unable to verify card on Apple Watch

I’ve successfully added my current account and flex cars to Apple wallet on phone. I’ve used them, they’re working.

I would like to add them to my Apple Watch.

When I open the watch app and add the cards to my wallet they go to a pending verification status.

I’ve clicked the button, been taken to the Monzo app and approved the request in there but they will not move from pending verification on my watch.

I’ve powered cycled both watch and phone, no luck. Please help!!

Hi can i ask how you got it fixed as I’m having same problem. Its saying on my watch app on phone that its added and is showing as added fine on my iphone wallet but when i click on my monzo card in the wallet on my watch it showing in red writing verification required even though it all went through fine on monzo app verification. Can i ask what monzo support suggested you to do to fix it or was it something they had to do at their end. Also ive been looking on the monzo banking app for the support section to actually contact them and im not seeing it anywhere? I don’t want the help section wheres theres tons of list of trouble shooting questions. I just want to get to a get to a contact customer support link.

It’s all good, all you have to do is wait a wee while and then Monzo message you to verify your card again and then it’s sorted. So just be patient, it just takes a while to be verified and you have to do nothing but wait one you’ve added the card it will say it isn’t verified in red writing under the card on your Apple Watch, don’t try to keep verifying as about 30 mins to an hour after you’ll receive a notification from Monzo to verify again through the Monzo app on a link they send you and wallah it’s sorted. So just be patient. Monzo know what they are doing.
