Uber transaction names

From a couple of weeks a go Uber transactions have started to appear in a slightly strange manner and suddenly have individual code-names, such as “Uber Trip Fkzhj Help.u”. From about mid July all my uber transactions appear in this way and therefore are no longer grouped to be from the same merchant. Has something changes in the way Monzo is accepting uber transactions? Has anyone else noticed this?

I’m an android user with the latest version of the app.

No worries, it looks like the issue was fixed. But I’m guessing that they’ve made some more changes so this needs fixing again so it’s helpful to have a separate topic :slight_smile:

Can’t report via the app for specific transactions (guess the button doesn’t exist for Android yet) so I will message Monzo to let them know as well.

Yeah just checked my last one, originally it was all messed up but it seems to now just say Uber

Had this at the weekend. Card checks appeared fine but the actual transaction is off.

What’s the protocol here, are we reporting via “Something Wrong” or waiting for the fix to arrive?

Judging by last time this happened, fixing an individual transaction’s merchant details via “Something Wrong” doesn’t resolve this issue so I’d treat this as a bug, rather than just incorrect merchant details.

I had this twice in the last few days just reported it now.

I suffer from this for almost all my Uber transactions, including both Uber Eats and Uber…Uber.

I have noticed this in the past however for me it has only appeared alongside top ups.

I’m still getting this issue. I flagged it to the admin’s via the app but I’m not sure if it’s being handled.
