TV Shows!

To be fair, Disney did remind me well in advance when my Clubcard period was coming to an end and it was incredibly easy to cancel. However, not all companies are like this so I think some sort of policy in law is required.

NOW has launched a new membership where you can get NOW Entertainment, NOW Cinema, and 6 months of Paramount+ for ÂŁ15 a month. However, this has a 6 months minimum term, unlike most NOW memberships.

I would get it myself if I hadn’t already watched everything I wanted to on Now (well, apart from The Last of Us, but I’m not subscribing for one show). There’s also plenty on Paramount+ to keep most people happy for 6 months. Definitely a good deal if you haven’t subscribed to either service recently.

Still makes me wonder why they didn’t launch Sky Showtime here. They clearly are happy to work together and are including Paramount+ in more packages that before.

The BBC is showing The Traitors Australia from the 9th of July!

Also, the new 14 day law that the government has suggested is ridiculous. Who would pay for streaming services when you can just watch what you want and cancel for free?

Maybe instead make streaming services show their entire catalogue before you subscribe to make it clear what they have to offer.

I guess it depends if you can keep doing it or not, and how many people subscribe, watch the latest thing and then cancel. They’ll have that data.

Xbox live gives you the whole amount back, or at least it did the one time they charged me and then I cancelled it a day or two later.

They don’t want to do the 6 monthly reminders because there will be lots of people that are forgetting to cancel and that email might be the nudge to cancel.

I don’t really have an issue with cancelling myself for any of these services as long as it’s easy to do it. None of this “Sign up online in a few clicks” but you have to phone someone to cancel it. That’s where the AppStore works so well, I don’t have to deal with the other companies, Apple let me cancel easily.

So…

From.

Has anyone seen this weeks episode 10?

I kinda expected this to be the way :no_mouth:

Also, Silo. That final ep

I have seen both.

From

From reminds me so much of Lost its crazy

Silo

I loved the silo end but I wanted more!

Also watched the 2 episodes of HiJack which I could like but I need to wait till ep3 to be sure. It depends on the direction it takes.

Agreed on both counts.

From does have Michael from LOST as main character, and I’m sure it has the same crew or writers or something.

Silo ending wasn’t what I expected but still wholly curious, more so than before.

I started Hijack earlier but went back to FFXVI cuz it’s absolutely amazin.

The Diplomat - A bit slow and not hours of action, but a really good series. Worth a watch

We Hunt Together - This is really good, bashed through it in two days. Season 2 is out already too. Looks like S1 just got picked up by BBC having been on Alibi before this.

Hijack - Great start but made the rookie error of not noticing that it’s one episode a week like it’s 1995 :frowning:

I watched it when it was on Alibi so was really confused when I saw a trailer for it on BBC. It’s really good; cracking colour schemes, surprisingly subversive, and I can thoroughly recommend it

Anyone been watching hijack on Apple TV?

I watched the first two, good so far.

Can’t get over the fact a tv series is being made about a plan journey though.

I can’t get over the fact that Idris Elba travels without any luggage.

I hate that there’s a big give away as to who’s involved since Apple don’t allow bad guys to use an iPhone :upside_down_face:

All but a piece of jewellery :joy: and phone. Not even a charger :no_mouth:

Fair play to Dara, I didn’t spot this myself:

Wait… what’s?!?

Whistle. Whistlllle!

Ted Lasso, what a show and what a joyful, but sad finale.

So many ups and downs, great work.
