Have you made sure that you’ve categorised both sides for the deposit?
I noticed on Trends that when I transferred money from my personal account to my Joint account that I can categorise the payment out of the Personal Account as “Transfers” and the incoming payment into the Joint account as “Income”.
I then noticed you can do the same with Pots that have a virtual card attached.
This can make things very messy when you have multiple accounts selected in Trends. So to keep things simple (and accurate) I have marked both sides of the same payments between accounts/payment pots with the same category.
All that being said it might be worth checking if you have both sides of your pot deposit categorised as “Transfers”.
On iOS you can’t do this, it’s only possible to categorise the transaction from the Home tab, not from the individual pot feed, which doesn’t show what category it is or allow it to be changed.
Below is what you see on the transaction detail from the pot feed - you can only add notes.
Nope, when you select the transaction from Trends, you get exactly the same screen as you do on the pot feed (which only lets you add notes). It doesn’t show the category or allow it to be changed.
Actually, I’ve just realised that specific pot deposit (the one stuck in both the Transfers and Savings categories) in Trends is the only one that doesn’t give me the option to choose a category and just shows the basic pot feed transaction detail screen .
Every other deposit into a pot in Trends, including that same transaction in the Savings category, has the option to choose the category.
So only the duplicate listing - I.e in Transfers in Trends, doesn’t show the category or allow the category to be changed. Bizarre
It’s just this one pot deposit that has got stuck in both categories in Trends.
Ok so it’s there in the latest TestFlight. I had to close and re-open the app a number of times and click in out out of trends for it to appear though…
