Im having issues with transfering money to my naira account. It used to be on the drop down currencies for international transfers and now it has disappeared. Why is this?
Transferring money internationally is done via a Transferwise integration, Monzo don’t do it directly.
Looking at the news via Google the Central Bank of Nigeria have stopped money transfer orgs from handling Naira, see below:
If you go on Transferwise directly, and select the destination as Naira, it shows the error “Sorry, we’ve closed all transfers to NGN due to new regulations from the Central Bank of Nigeria.” so I think you’re out of luck.
You will need to find an alternative means to transfer money over.
