Just a Monzo card chilling out in the wild.
At between £10 and £25 for most of the wallets it would be rude not to.
How are you finding it? I’ve been interested for a while.
I’ve had mine for a few years and love it. I stopped carrying cash a long time ago and this was perfect for me coming from a huge Montblanc bifold.
It goes in left pocket with my car key and never notice it being there tbh
Ridge clone (with 17 cards in it), two Troves (Cash Wrap and Swift), two Moral Origin cork wallets, and a couple of £10 generic designs for slim wallets.
My daily carry is the Trove (Cash Wrap with the basic insert replaced by the swift). It carries 4 cards, and can nicely carry cash and receipts, and keeps both secure and tidy. It’s also slim enought that it’s barely there in a front pocket. It replaced the darker cork wallet, which I carried for years, but it’s not ideal for cash, and can’t handle receipts at all.
All those cards
Never seen any YouTube videos.
It’s carbon which a lot of the imitations aren’t. It’s smaller than my bifold and holds a lot more cards.
It was cheaper than my Montblanc
Not sure a 60% keyboard helps there either
How do you find the whole ‘picking a card out’ of the ridge style wallets?
I got a cheapy clone from Amazon to see if I liked and every time I tried to get a card out it felt clunky and confusing.
Is there a trick I didn’t understand?
They work best with around 5-6 cards in, so that if you push them 1/3 of the way out and squeeze the bottom of the wallet they fan out and you can pick the one you want. Too few, and they don’t separate. Too many, and the fan doesn’t spread enough.
Since I actually only ever carry 3 cards (4 with driving licence), it’s one of the reasons I switched away. That and the lack of a good way to carry cash/receipts.
Suddenly there is a lot of chat about ridge wallets on here. I ended up getting one for my birthday, liking it so far.
Finally decided on a new wallet and have ordered a Bellroy Sleeve
The Ridge is excellent, as I commented on sometime ago, yes expensive but that is a choice made based on your personal situation. I bought my father one over four years ago, when he figured out what it costs I could see the colour drain from his face. Then, when he realised what great idea the concept was he put his old wallet in his bedside draw and used it right up to the day of his death. If my old man liked it, or similar designs, it/they must be good.
I periodically go to the Bellroy website to see if they’ve introduced anything in a vegan leather. Nothing yet but I BELIEVE!
Slightly off topic but I do this for the orbit key organiser as I need to replace my nylon version, they do a cactus leather version but it’s been out of stock for the longest time.
I always thought they did but obviously not! I’m surprised they don’t!
