Thanks Andrew. I’m now getting adverts for Dove on Macrumors. I can’t stand Dove products.
cries in £1 for 500ml Radox showergels
Who can recommend a good eye cream? Anti-aging and dark circle reducing?
I use Kiehls moisturiser on my face but don’t rate their eye stuff.
Might give these guys a go once I get through my current batch of moisturiser and cleanser
My go to
I do use Alpecin for hair cuz
I tried Alpecin but in the end I realised I was fighting a losing battle and just embraced being a baldy. Well not a fully baldy, I go grade 1 all over, annoyingly I still need shampoo otherwise my scalp starts to feel greasy…
I’ll brave it eventually. Just started wearing glasses so that’s something to bulk the face up.
Then thought about a nose ring piercing for extra
I’m fair haired so even with the pathetic attempt at a beard I have, it’s not filling so not a great look imo.
Alpecin? For balding?
There’s only one or two OTC products clinically proven to regrow lost hair and prevent further thinning, and Alpecin ain’t one of em. It’s just a shampoo with effective marketing.
Any brands you can name
I’m more a scruffy stubble enthusiast, I tried a beard once and I was not a fan of how it looked.
Have you ever just given it a go? Before I finally bit the bullet and did it I went through a phase of giving myself a buzz cut and then letting it grow out again. When I finally started buzzing my hair habitually I still had a fair amount of hair, just a thinning crown. I remember loving how much time it saved it the morning not having to care about doing my hair Now there is no chance of letting it grow out, I’m basically bald on tip with hair around the sides.Typical male pattern baldness.
I have yet to start balding (34 years old) but I cut my own hair on a number 1 guard anyway, have done pretty much since Covid, so I am well prepare for if/when I start.
Not brands no, but the ingredient yes. Back in the US everyone uses Minoxidil with very good success.
My family started commenting on thinning hair when I was 21… I used to have a dense head of hair (albeit fine). It was very gradual, heartbreaking process…
I think I might never go bald to be honest, men on both sides of my family seem to have good thick heads of hair, both my Grandfathers still had full heads of hair when they died, they did go grey though and I am starting to myself.
I think Living Proof has a serum for that now too.
Not cheap though. There’s serums for everything these days. No idea how well they work.
Edit: this is it. You may want to sit down if the price of my shower gel shocked you.
To be fair I don’t mind going grey, my hair is number 1 anyway but you can see it in my beard.
I thought about Minoxidil but then read that some of its side effects included anxiety. So decided to embrace my baldness instead.
Might just go Turkey
Having seen my friends do it and have amazing results years on, it’s probably what I’ll do.
