Don’t think it’s new, I’ve always had that option. Just becomes enabled when biometrics is disabled.
it was the 5 digit passcode that seemed to be Barclays influenced…I’ve always had biometrics previously but a 6 digit passcode

Partner applied for a Tesco credit card a few weeks ago. Didn’t hear a thing then today they’ve asked for 2 documents to validate identity.
I know they are obliged to and it’s quite rare but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. Has a healthy credit file and history too
