Hi all. I know this has been suggested before, but I think having a “Takeaway” category would be really useful in the app, as “Eating Out” isn’t really accurate when I’m eating in!
I know that there are custom categories in Plus and Premium, but it would be really nice to see this in the free version! 
I could be wrong but I don’t think they’ll make any changes to categories now or add any extras. People have asked for a long time for takeaway/pets/kids etc etc.
If you want that functionality you’ll have to upgrade.
I agree with the above.
It doesn’t make sense for Monzo to spend time and money to keep adding new categories here and there whenever anyone has an idea of a new one. Instead they built the feature so you can create as many as you like and name them whatever you want.
Upgrade to Plus to get this, otherwise you’ll unfortunately have to make do with the core ones and perhaps use tags?
