Subscriptions from pots

Hi,
I wonder if it can be setup to pay regular recurring card payments like netflix, prime, our window cleaner :joy: etc from pots? I like that we can set direct debits from pots and Monzo already does seem to recognise subscriptions as recurring payments so to have it taken from a pot would be great! I haven’t seen an option but correct me if there is one already?

You need a virtual card which requires a paid plan. Then you can do exactly this.

Hi, I was doing a bit research and discovered this after I posted. The only trouble is all of our bills/payments/salary is to our joint account which it seems I cannot upgrade :cry: thanks for taking the time to reply though.

Yes that’s it, I mean they are recurring payments but the same principle I guess!

You can’t upgrade your joint account but it’s the benefits that your personal account has.

We don’t really use our personal accounts at all unfortunately. Salaries are paid into joint and all outgoings come from joint account also.

If you have a paid plan on your personal account you can create a virtual card for a joint pot. However the joint user won’t be able to see the card, only you.

It doesn’t really matter. It’s £3 a month if you want the functionality you highlighted.

I’m guessing I would need to setup a monthly transfer to my personal account from the joint account then? Just to pay for the benefits? As there is never really any money in the personal account only the joint.
