Pretty much what the title says. I can’t see anyway of doing this. Which means I have to delete my virtual card and create a new one, which would be fine if that also didn’t then mean going through a bunch of subscriptions and updating all of them to the new card number. I really don’t want to have to do this!
Hey Tim,
Once a virtual card has been created, you can’t change where payments are taken when that card is used. I don’t work for Monzo so wouldn’t know the reason, but my guess would be security/fraud prevention of some kind.
Depending on the reason you want to change the pot your VC is attached to, might be worth just “repurposing” the existing pot?
Why would you need to change the Pot? Or are they all card subscriptions in said Pot and you want to separate them?
When I first created the virtual card you couldn’t pay from a pot so it just pays from my personal account. Now I want it to come out of a pot which I can’t do.
Create a new card linked to the pot you want and manually change the details for the payments over. I had to do this previously. It’s a pain and I feel the frustration, but it was worth it
Your post is incorrect then, because it leads people to think you have a Pot with a virtual card assigned, and want to move Pots that card is assigned to.
You created a virtual card for your account, not Pot, and now want your recurring payments to come from a Pot instead.
As noted above; you need to do it manually.
Sometimes it’s a good way to make a cut of stuff you no longer require.
But do check with the service you’re not in contract before just stopping any payments.
Yea, it is a pain, but there isn’t any other option atm.
Would be great to be able to change this in future
Thanks
