Starling just revamped the business categories, and cheque imaging seems imminent.
I just wish for better budgeting and spending analysis. There’s still no way of starting my month on the day I’m paid, which is pretty fundamental, and Anne has teased something “better” than Bill Pots but that just seems like wrong–footed blustering after it was requested.
Starling still seems very reluctant to accept feedback. Last month I pointed out that the app calculated three different amounts that I had supposedly spent:
The specialist who replied seemed to think the different calculations were all valid, and wouldn’t accept that as a regular punter it was all very confusing and I didn’t want to have to take certain refunds and split bills into account on some screens to perform my own mathematics, and that it was simply ridiculous that the app was telling me ‘You have spent x, perhaps y or maybe z this month’. My interaction ended with a rather limp “we take on customer feedback” kinda stock answer, and I got the impression that, once again, the defensive shutters had gone back up. Oh well.
