I saw this at a Sky pop-up thing today, is there a catch here that I don’t realise? This is more than I pay for SkyQ with hefty discounts.
Maybe limited offer, 6 months discount etc.
Comparing that to just building that package on the Sky website - assuming that Netflix is kept on the base pack and ‘2 stream boxes’ means they’ve included Whole Home, it works out at £80 per month. So, that is quite a saving if you want Sport and Cinema (which are the 2 biggest chunks of the costs). It does also look like that’s after even the website has discounted some of their charges compared to ‘standard price’ - apparently £20 a month savings.
£80
Glad I can live without sky TV.
You still have the elephant in the room though that my NowTV subs, with the Entertainment and Cinema packs plus ‘Ultra Boost’ (ad skipping and 4K) is £15 in total because everything on there is so discounted at the moment. You don’t need ‘Whole Home’ because it’s just app based anyway so you can install it on your own smart TV and they haven’t (yet) introduced any limitations on when and where and you can install (no Netflix ‘extra home’ penalties).
Actually - talking about Netflix (and Paramount+), yeah it doesn’t include that.
If I wanted Sky Sports it’ll be £35 per month (so still £50 in total).
I still don’t understand how or why Sky is keeping NowTV running as a separate standalone company with such an aggressive retention campaign - try cancelling and you will also get offered a very good deal (I’ve had it down to £1 for 3 months for the TV pack in the past).
If you cancel after the first month it suddenly becomes a lot cheaper.
I have Cinema and they’re always trying to get me to subscribe to Sports, too. Currently offering me £18 per month for Sports in the My Sky app.
