SIM card contactless

I make use of bPay, its good but not great for tracking spend.

Would be great if was able to get a sim card size card that links to my monzo account so I can use in the bpay holder

Yep. I have a bPay bracelet, bPay keyfob, bPay watch strap, bPay sticker…and just wish they could be debit rather than prepay

What’s the point?

Most phones nowadays have NFC and cards are contactless. I don’t see a market for this outside of really old phones and people that want to look cool paying.

But apparently there is a market for it. What do I know. Personally I wouldn’t increase possible attack vectors by having a bajzilkion fobs that can pay, especially since there’s marginal, if any, benefits, and no monitoring.

I find the convenience of not having to get phone/wallet out a big bonus, I have a fitbit which doesn’t have NFC or payment capabilities. bPay gives me this.

Plus, I always wear my watch, so always have a payment method on me. (saved my bacon a few times after filling up fuel in my car!)

Currently bPay is my preferred payment method, but means I have to check bPay and my bank statement to find out spend

You’re totally right; except for the NFC chip/antenna that powers Apple Pay since iPhone 6.

That sim not even real lol

It is a SIM sized contactless card, which goes into a holder. The OP is suggesting that Monzo do something similar.

It’s pretty real - basically a simcard-sized contactless card that fits into the slot on the wristband… not used in phones :stuck_out_tongue:

Where get them from?

You can get them from the barclaycard (bpay) website: https://www.shop.bpay.co.uk/categories/buy-bpay

What device is that one though?

ÂŁ20 with no credit wow

It’s on the cheaper end of the scale to be honest, some solutions such as kerv cost 5 times that (albeit in a much more aesthetically pleasing design for myself personally).

Yea I was suggesting monzo do a compatible card. I would happily pay a surcharge to be honest

Hello
Your bPay wristband will be on its way to you shortly. But in the meantime, here’s a quick reminder of your order.
