Select an existing inbound payment when splitting a bill

Many of my friends have moved to Monzo by my recommendation but many more haven’t. These non-Monzo friends are also resistant to using to split bills etc and instead send me a bank transfer with my details they already have saved in their banking apps.

From their point of view why would they go to the effort of putting their card details into when they can just open their banking app with their fingerprint?

However if they send me money via a bank transfer it is not reflected in my Monzo summary. To get around this I balance my budget by excluding other payments.

It would be far easier if I could select the inbound bank transfer from my friend when I split the bill.

Including bank transfers in budget categories might solve your issue.
