Issue: Salary sort showing duplicated pots, AND crashing the app when you submit a sort

Details to reproduce:

  • Get paid a salary, then click ‘sort salary’.
  • Bug #1: Observe any pots are shown twice, and indicating that you’d like to add money to a pot will add the same number to the other duplicate pot.
  • Attempt to actually sort the salary.
  • Bug #2: The app crashes!

Additional notes:

  • This is reproducible after closing and reopening the app.
  • This is also reproducible across both my personal account (with a personal pot) and my joint account (with a joint pot).
  • Perhaps the fact that I have a personal and joint account is relevant to this bug?

OS: Android 14
Device: Pixel 7
App Version: 5.91.0

Try this:

  • Uninstall the :monzo: app
  • Restart your device (important)
  • Download/install the :monzo: app
  • Login & retry to confirm if the issue still occurs or not

For what it’s worth, I do think this is worth looking into further, since I’m surely not the only person who’s experienced this, and not everyone is going to know to try uninstalling or posting on this forum for help

I experienced the exact same failure of salary sort this morning (with a business account, I have two business accounts, one personal account, and one joint account)

Can we get some more information on what the problem is as based on the instructions it seems like it might be a known one?

Is it going to happen to more people in the next week at normal month end? We get money coming in daily to the business account so I can say it was fine yesterday and an issue this morning.

It seems there are a few issues with moving money around today based on the posts I can see on the front page - no doubt all related in some way.

And today it’s back working again as normal for me.

I was following this but I forgot to post - mine worked fine yesterday morning.
