This is a good read up, just to add about stoozing, you’re opening a further credit account for the credit card.
So if you’ve done all your bank accounts this past few months and now going for the credit card, you might not get as favourable limits/terms due to all the activity on your credit file over the short term.
Really not impressed with my new rbs account. Its been open for a number of weeks now. Today its not working at all or the website (despite the service status page saying its all fine). Too many separate id numbers, one current account card and one digital banking card, biometrics in the app that wont let me register despite having used the app for a few weeks (when the app is working). Not a great customer experience at all.
Ive found things completely different. Everything has worked when ive needed it it (which isnt saying your problems with the app and website dont exist, they may have just been when i wasnt using the app), everything in the app works. Biometrics were easy to set up. Really pleased with it so far.
I started an application for a new current account but gave up, I didn’t upload any ID, or submit the application. RBS still performed a hard credit check. Am I right to be annoyed?
