I’ve only got £15 in it so many just try putting in a small amount to see if that makes a difference?
Mines the same too, been checking every few days and ive had the account open a couple of weeks now.
When you have a issue with child & co do you just visit your local NatWest?
Yes, as far a your local NatWest is concerned it’s just another RBS sort code.
Oh so even on my credit report it’ll show as RBS?
Thanks
Managed to get one, however it now looks like they’ve fully disabled the link.
What has RBS done to the link?
Looking at it, it’s completely been took off gives you an error then diverts you to the new sign up page which doesn’t allow you to pick a sort code.
I did it earlier on, just was curious as knowing my luck it’ll say I need to visit the branch with ID, but since the branch isn’t there hence the NatWest question above.
Then went on the link again and it’s gone.
Spending is now working on the app. No idea why it wasn’t before, but assuming it was because it was still a new account.
I had read elsewhere that RBS were blocking accounts created via that link and instead directing you to the “normal” RBS website/questioning why you were selecting a London based SC if not in that area. It was on a different fintech forum. Perhaps someone can verify ?
What’s what was happening to me last night. It said error in red then reloaded the page by itself and redirected me to the new application saying the one I attempted is closed.
Yes I filled it in already, it said they need more information so will contact me.
It’s when I re-visited the link. I just opened it again this second and same again it still redirects me
Ahh I guess that makes sense!
Didn’t get back to you, but was also successful about 3 weeks ago (thanks!)
Natwest Group no longer advertise Child & Co under their “brands” as of a month ago, but otherwise there’s no indication they intend to close off the loophole. It’s all a bit weird that they are even persisting with it to this degree in the first place.
RBS currently offering 0% purchases for 23 months on their credit card.
Okay if you like a stooze. And no, that’s not a mistype
By time I have four figures on the card, there may be a decent 12 month fix to lodge it in.
I reckon I could make about £80 with minimal effort
It’s about the long game.
Every little helps, as some say
Credit scores are fictional, hence why you have three different ones. I disregard them tbh.
I am also lucky enough to not require any true credit product in the foreseeable future, such as a loan or mortgage, so can play with credit cards if need be.
I just don’t get high credit limits any more because my credit history shows that, despite having credit cards already, I rarely use them now. Plus my total credit available is higher than my annual income.
Good job I am disciplined, financially. Do not spend what I haven’t got. Never have.
Depends on how many cards you have and your aggregate credit limit allowance.
That will affect your credit utilisation figure. Not sure if lenders have access to that much detail.
Mine is currently, 0.26% across my credit cards.
It will likely affect your credit score because of the number of hard searches in a short space of time, but only you and the CRA see that.
Whether it affects what lenders will think depends on the lender. Amex, for example, can view a number of hard searches in a short space of time negatively. They actually told me that when I was once turned down.
Also, because of the delays in reporting, a series of switches from bank to bank can leave a number of new bank accounts on your record at the same time. Some lenders will view this negatively, too.
Regardless, after a few months, it will likely have little impact on your ability to get credit.
Edit: just realised I confused stoozing with serial CASSing, having just been reading the switching thread! So above applies to the effect of serial switching, not stoozing.
I don’t think stoozing will have any great effect on credit records.
Hi! Do you still have the link? I’m starting to feel tempted by a shiny Child & Co card!
