Day 18
They should not have cancelled it! Numbers even if inactive on a SIM can still generate PAC codes and you could’ve moved the number back. Technically mobile operators can reactivate numbers for the purpose of porting or in an emergency. I would press to see what they can do.
Isn’t the bonus amount only for a short period?
Either way it’s a pretty good rate and I’ve never had any issues with Revolut. Had multiple savings accounts with them for over a year
Until the 31st of July 2026
Wow so the Rev plan really really doenst seem to be great value if they enforce this FUP (spotted on ISP Review)
Its certainly not unrestricted.
I have signed up for the Revolut plan….Notice you can have an additional number for £2 a month…but has a max of 50 mins and 50 texts incoming…
Can they limit the amount of incoming calls…and how ?
For a normal person, anything over 10gb is outside the normal for a mobile plan.
New option under profile for ‘Revolut ID’
Is this new?
That would be the average but the actual normal is 2.6gb per month as a median.
But anyone that falls into that category shouldnt consider a unlimited contract as its pointless and would be better suited to the bottom tier of smarty given they will be on vodafone as well with the three purchase.
Either way 150gb != unlimited and its by far the worst FUP (EE / 1pmobile have 600gb I think) and it really isnt unlimited by a long way. There are better options for heavy users on other networks, and thats before them losing mobile numbers each time you get a new phone which is scary terrible.
I still think FUP limits need to be published upfront clearly for all networks if they have specific numbers so people can make informed decisions, not buried behind the scenes in terms.
That 150GB would be an issue potentially for anyone who doesnt have home broadband and uses streaming/downloads, hell younger people, one of Rev’s targets would potentially be more put off by that FUP as they tend to burn more data (especially my kids) so its not great for £12.50 / £15 a month.
At some point in the future (around another 12 months for me).
I wholly agree, and networks that offered people unlimited knowing customers only used <X a month should be forced to refund any difference for a lower alternative plan form the start of their contracts.
The communications ombudsman and regulators are weak unfortunately, and like with the recent price rice attempts it just shows there’s no consideration for the general public.
Speaking of regulators, it seems that if Revolut are losing people’s phone numbers through erroneous eSIM deployments and then not reinstating them, this seems like the next stop is Ofcom.
Pretty sure that the ability to port a phone number between networks is a compulsory requirement of carriers.
I wonder if number reinstatement really is a technical limitation that Revolut have, or that their support staff have not yet been made aware of the process to action it.
Gigs probably knows how to do it.
Just requested a pac within the app, which shows on screen when you do and sends a text, so a pac dance would be needed if it’s your main.
Not sure why my comment was flagged as it’s not even remotely sour ![]()
In short; you can request a pac within the app and it shows on screen (if you’re not able to access the eSIM).
Somebody is jealous of all your FBFFs ![]()
I do reckon there’s confusion or going to be confusion with the support staff and customers over having two different eSIM products, one data-only plan tied to a device and one mobile carrier plan.
Calling the plan eSIM in a support context could refer to either / or of those, and the support journey is probably different between the two products
Just went to billing > cancel and this came up.
But then went to “Other” and when purchasing a new plan you can get your old number back within 60 days:
So maybe that needs to be explained on a customer service level instead of nope it’s gone ![]()
Edit:
So I cancelled, deleted the sim, now there’s no way to access the old number only the basic information for the plan I had.
Following the flow to sign up again, it doesn’t give me the old number back ![]()
Yeah it’s screwed ![]()
Did get a refund as I cancelled within 14 days, minus two days I used it.
