Revolut Chat

I think the country localisation of the IBAN is directly correlated to where the operation is run from - so the ‘branch’ of Wise handling Euro transactions is in Belgium, and for Revolut the branch handling the Euro payments is in London, hence GB IBAN.

For the EU bank, LT IBANs are the default, and for localised IBANs (like we have in Ireland, but there’s also NL, FR and ES and probably others), a branch registered in the geographical location is required before that can be offered

Also, we’ve never had localised US bank details, only IBAN for Swift :worried:

Would have been really useful a little while back, but the routing issues with the localised IBANs seem to be largely resolved now

Rumour has it you can now assign a card to spend from a Pocket only on Revolut?

I don’t have the option on iOS latest TestFlight. Possibly an Android first?

If you can, I can’t see it yet (Android).
You can assign a card to a specific currency wallet now, and assign a card to a pocket as a subscription payment, but seemingly not as a dedicated card to a pocket.

Of course, we may also not have it yet.
We only got salary sorter turned on today :slightly_smiling_face:

I’ve had salary sorter and all the other options for some time.

Specifically assigning a card to a Pocket would be new.

Yeah, same actually, we’ve had the other bits for a while - just not salary sorter.
I’ve actually had bills tied to pockets with cards and DDs for some time and it’s been working perfectly.

Will be keeping an eye out for cards tied to pockets though, this will be useful.

For example, a Pub pocket that once it’s empty, it’s empty :joy::beer:

If thus was even remotely close to working, I’d be very happy :joy:

To be fair, when it’s empty I would only top it up again, probably defeats the point :joy:

“Huh, that card declined? Never mind, here’s another.”

So, bank licence granted and ‘mobilisation’ started in July 24, we’re now in November. How come they are not a full bank yet?

I’m sure I read it could take around a year, if not longer if internal controls aren’t where they need to be.

Can’t imagine much longer as they are already a bank in the EU, albeit different rules apply, but you’d think it might be smoother.

I’m not sure, but when upgraded to metal recently it let me order a new metal card, and then also let me downgrade no fee.

The terms refer to having a new metal card every year or something, but I’ve not been subscribed for a full year so who knows what happened there.

I’d guess

Something like that yeah :joy:

As per the terms yes, possibly delivery fee, but it’s been so long I can’t really remember the full works.

If you downgrade from Metal to Premium I think the burden is less, then down to Standard.

If you’ve had a metal card before you might get a freebie this time. Mine was recently.

Just had a look, this is what I was charged.

Metal fee
Metal fee refund
Card fee £17.99 which I believe was delivery

Paid on 3rd, cancelled on 5th.
