Replying to a post - adding to a thread

Here’s one for you…

What triggers the " replying" message at the foot of a thread?

  1. Typing
  2. Looking
  3. Can’t think of a third…

Edit: and thinking whilst typing :thinking:. Not sure how long the time out is until it stops saying “replying”

I was thinking this also

All I know is iMessage shows the typing indication for 30 seconds after you stop typing. Unless they’ve changed it recently.

I assumed it was when you clicked reply and the reply window was open to type, not you actually typing anything out.
