This is one of the reasons I haven’t used pots and Monzo more so far.
I had a half hour call with Monzo a couple of weeks ago to discuss statements and give some suggestions. It seemed to go well so hopefully some progress will be made.

Good to hear. One that that would get me paying for Monzo Plus is auto syncing of the PDF statements to a Nextcloud folder. (Other folder sync systems would probably also need to be supported for others). The lack of ability to download in a web interface makes them very hard to download and sync at the moment.
Couldn’t agree with this idea more. My bills pot is messing up my feed. It’d be much better to have something like a monthly summary for the each months bills in the pot itself
I think Monzo’s statements should be kept as simple as possible.
The only real use for statements now is as a verification of earnings, affordability checks (mortgages etc.) and various other evidentiary purposes. As far as reviewing transactions and money management, the Monzo app itself is way better for any of that, particularly with Monzo Plus’ Google Sheets integration.
IMO, exported statements should completely ignore regular Pots. Don’t show money going into them, don’t show money being withdrawn. They don’t exist as far as the statement is concerned.
Savings pots are a slightly different matter, as they are a different account, so I’m sure there’s some reporting restrictions there, but unless I’m wrong, savings pots are designed to be treated the same as a Savings Account, vs. Regular Pots which can be used for roundups, pay from pot etc. This means Savings Pots are much less likely to have numerous transactions in & out every month, so they should still show up on the statement IMO.
