It’s a comment on inflation so it belongs there.
A TfL topic is fine though, but I’d expect it to be a wider-encompassing topic covering things like The Bakerloo line extension, and the stupid dangleway that should have always been a bridge…
You guys are living in paradise. Don’t get us folk in NI started on Translink
I imagine that was the intention behind making the topic given this post:
It just so happened that the inflation issue is what prompted the making of it. Off the cuff issues like that often spark the idea to create some of the best threads. When we don’t shove them off in to some mega thread somewhere else.
We don’t need a thread for discussing that one TFL issue, I agree. But a TFL discussion isn’t a bad idea itself.
As London Transport is just so different to other parts of the UK
I’m happy with Public Transport!
Ah you mean wayyyyy to expensive lol
As someone who travels on the GWR Mainline daily. Personally I would take a 5 Car GWR Class 800 anyday over a 12 Car GWR Class 387.

It got very Geoff Marshall in here very quickly.
Train and Plane spottter. Sooooo
Onnnn another note, can’t recall the last time I even jumped on a bus or train! Last thing “Public” would have a been a Aircraft tbh.
And seeing the prices would explain why
I sometimes travel on a train, as work won’t cover my mileage in a car, but otherwise I avoid public transport in the UK. Dirty, always late and the people aren’t always the most polite.
Can we please stay on topic? Otherwise I’m going to spend my first evening of 2025 removing posts repeatedly…
Odd how they dover the train. Surely its cheaper to cover fuel at like 30p a mile?
Yes boss!
My employer also covers my Train fare to the office. I get it back in my paycheck.
