You obviously missed the bit where the CEO said that Monzo just saw getting a UK banking licence as the best way to achieving its goal as being the hub for a billion people’s finances, and that in a decade Monzo might not even be a bank anymore.

A hub for a billion people’s finances - nice marketing phrase. What that means is, we are a bank who wants lots of customers and hope to have a wide range of financial services.

Just my opinion, but I really don’t think that’s what was meant at all. That’s the old bank model - the platform model is very different (albeit as of yet unproven).

In the latest iOS TestFlight when I press my profile picture in the view all area, a blue circle appears around my picture. It doesn’t do anything but I am wondering if it’s part of some future plan…?

The new settings are great but I think it may be worth adding a link to the “account” area in there as well. I always forget thats under the card on the main screen and would instincitvely go to a place where I would expect my settings and details to be like “settings”

This isn’t a generic “soon” update: we are now working on budgeting in Product Platform as our main priority

Will budgeting be one of the things that gets “paywalled” in the new Monzo Plus incarnation? Perhaps not all budgeting, but part of it? I very much hope not .
