Buy something on Ali Express (China), Pay by PayPal linked to my Monzo, all ok. Ali Express dont take payment until they ship, which can be few days later, the tracking in Ali Express shows goods moving to dist depot as expected. Then Monzo refunds the payment. This has happened 4 times.
The goods dont arrive. How do get them all to take the money, and deliver the goods?

Pay using Monzo directly.
I’ve done this several times without issue, the AliExpress stuff arrives OK - albeit with completely flexible shipping times!

I would just pay using your monzo card directly,
You can even choose to pay after delivery
I bought something from AliExpress recently and tried to pay via PayPal (linked to Revolut) straight away. The funds were taken and then a second attempt as well, but this was denied due to insufficient funds in my Revolut account. However AliExpress said payment hadn’t been received at all. However within the hour the payment which had been taken was refunded, so I tried again, this time using my Revolut card directly, and it worked straight away.
I’d suggest there’s some kind of issue with PayPal and AliExpress
