This is very much still something that’s on our radar still - admittedly it’s fallen behind some other priorities over the past year.
Like other’s have said, this is a feature that’s not an “IF” but a “WHEN”. And I’d personally love to get this feature shipped as an avid YNAB user - but I’m not an engineer myself 
Though one thing we’re curious still to hear more about - we’ve heard lots of users using like YNAB/Mint as well as “round-up” apps like Acorns. But we want to hear from everyone, do you find yourself needing Plaid support in other kinds of apps?
We’re mainly just curious because we want to hear all the possible issues that a Monzo user might run into so we can make sure we address it all.

My use-case is I’m trying to emigrate to Portugal from the UK. I found a stellar app called Atlys that does all the legwork for you, but they need a bank account integration (via Plaid) to grab all your financials for submission as part of the application.
Hoping it’s not too much of a problem if I can’t link my account 
Very interesting - I hadn’t heard of that service before.
Hopefully you are able to get things set up without Plaid for now And I hope things all go smoothly with your emigration!
I guess it just goes to show all the unique uses people have found for Plaid that really can’t be replicated in the same way without it.

It’s been a full year and 9 month since this question was originally posted and yet we still can’t connect our accounts to other apps. This is insane.
It’s not insane. Something being requested doesn’t start the clock ticking and then complain it hasn’t happened.
Monzo have said it’s something they wish to do and it will happen, but it’s not a top priority.

This is a very basic feature for us in the US. 99% of banks immediately provide the service.
