Has anyone used this app? They offer a builder credit card and more interestingly a free credit check with all 3 credit checking agencies in the UK. The only articles I can find on them are from 2 years ago.
What connection do you have to it?
No connection other than I have been using it for the credit score for the past couple months. I just find it odd there isn’t more discussion of it online so am a little bit wary at the same time if it safe.
I’ve never heard of it before (and that’s surprising). Looks interesting though.
Are they new in the UK? Seems to be a US based corporation behind it. Might explain the enigma of their existence.
Gonna read into them. Thanks for joining and sharing. Welcome to the community!
App Store link worked for me…
I’ve downloaded it. Seems geared towards US expats living in the UK though.
And the Trustpilot score on the website is accurate too… They have the excellent badge, and their score is excellent:
I’m being picky. On the website it shows a full 5 stars but on trustpilot is technically 4 1/2 stars.
Turns out im wrong ignore me.
That’s Trust Pilot’s fault though.
The badge is static, not dynamic, and will show 5 full stars for excellent. It’s the same on Atom’s website despite fluctuating between 4.7 and 4.9 over the years.
The offer itself looks pretty compelling to me. And it’s an exceptionally rare fintech credit card, which has me very piqued.
Fair enough. I have removed my post as cleary I am wrong.
Still dont like the look of it though.
I’m trying to bang my head on how I came across them! I think it may have been an Instagram ad after I had been looking into credit scores. I was obviously piqued by the fact they do all 3 agencies. The actual report data is powered by Equifax so for Experian and TransUnion it only gives the score. The report data does lack in comparison to what you can get from Clearscore and MSE Credit Club.
Thanks for the welcome
Having had a little poke around now, between Monzo Flex and Monzo extra, there’s not an awful lot you’re missing anyway.
If Monzo Flex was its own dedicated app, and took the credit tools from Monzo extra with it, you’d wind up with an app that resembled something like this. Down to having two versions of the same card. Build for those who are new to credit, and the standard credit card for everyone else.
What would really clinch it for me is if it had reports from all three, or at least just Experian.
It’s not a bad app at all. And it has an iPad app, which is a plus in my book. It’s always fun to have a new fintech toy to play with.
