I love the emojis in my Monzo notifications, but recently I had a payment go out to PureGym, the emojis were

. Why the male symbol?!

What’s your phone and OS version? The double emojis for things like gender is when there’s a newer emoji that’s sort of a composite emoji of two combined, but your phone doesn’t know how to render it so it gets broken out into the two component emojis. Suggests you’re on an older OS.
