OK thanks dude

I’m. Getting really pissed off with fighting nessa on pokemon sword. Tried loads and can’t win against her when it’s my turn I select a move then she has another bloody go, she seems to have constant goes when it’s mine!!

Aparrently you need a grass and electric pokemon

Should I just go back and battle as many wild pokemon as possible to level mine up?

Basically means either your Pokemon aren’t strong enough or they are slower then hers so she essentially gets two goes if you want a better chance against Nessa have a grass type or something with a grass skill set that way you’ll beat her a lot easier.

OK thanks.
I’ll get all my pokemon to level 25 then give it a go. I read an article saying you need at least 24.

I have some grass and electric now so just levelling them up then l give it a go

No problem it’s always worth having your main Pokemon a few levels higher than your others as trying to level them all to the same level becomes counter productive so just bear in mind skill sets, weaknesses and having the right levels for the job.

OK thanks.
When battling wild pokemon it doesn’t usually say which type they are which makes it difficult knowing which ones to capture

Just going by the look of them is an indicator of why type they are and the environment also helps to tell you too just remember once you’ve battled them they get added to your Pokédex so take a look at it every now and then to help you more.

Is it best to save dynamax till last?

Yeah always save your Dynamax till the last Pokemon unless you’re confident you can take out the team without it. As dynamax only lasts three turns then your Pokemon goes back to its normal form.

Great. Last question.
When you battle wild pokemon and win, it only levels up the 6 active pokemon, not the ones in boxes?

Correct it only levels up the ones you have on you and if you send off Pokemon on jobs from the PC they will gain Exp otherwise it’s only the ones with you at all times.

Unless you have a team like mine that sweeps you don’t need to worry about Dynamax, unless it’s to counter

This is true I think he’s still early into the game so just good to have additional skill sets

Finally beat nessa after hours of leveling up my pokemon.
Next I have a fire creature trainer(kabu) so trying to get water, rock, fire and fighting pokemon

What’s your best way to level up? Just battling wild pokemon?

Usually the trainer battles are enough to keep level pace. I usually swap the weakest pokemon in my team to the front until they hit a certain level and then keep rotating.

Finally getting the hang of the trainers now. Defeated kabu first time round, did some googling to find strength and weakness of the fire types etc

Usually through playing the game you’ll pick this up anyway but personally Kabu is one of the easiest trainers but he’s fun to battle either way. Also if you want to have good chances in battles and levelling up do what @Cerberus said and rotate your weakest to the front and so forth. Another thing to bare in mind is what items Pokemon are holding and their abilities that all helps too.

Got trainer “bea” next, aparrently you need to be level 35 or more to defeat

It’s not necessary to have pokemon which are strong against the trainers right?
For example on googling it says for bea you need pshycic and flying. However most of my pokemon aren’t either of those. And to find one. Catch it, then level up to 35 would take a serious amount of time.

Most my pokemon are e in the 30s now so hopefully once they’re up to 35 l be OK
