New to Monzo, not sure how to get around the first 2 issues :(

Hi,

I’m new to Monzo (just got a card). It’s a great idea. But two key issues in the first few minutes:

  1. How do you get the Monzo card to work on android pay? It didn’t work when I tried scanning in the card :slightly_frowning_face::slightly_frowning_face:

  2. This categories idea is a good, but the categories don’t seem to be changeable? (and the ones set up don’t for my needs). Perhaps there is a way to change the categories?

Anyway, once I’ve got past the two things above I’m looking forward to using my new Monzo card!

Welcome to Monzo!

  1. Monzo is a prepaid card at the moment… So sadly you won’t be able to add it to Android Pay until Monzo roll out Current Accounts (Soon :tm: ;))

  2. You have a list of categories by default, if you go to a transaction and click the category it’s currently in, you’ll be able to choose any of those options - As of yet, custom categories aren’t available… But this may change when the current accounts roll out :smiley:

Besides that, I really hope you’re enjoying your fancy new Monzo card! :smiley:
