N26 Discussion

Certainly not able to set up Direct Debits. I took this to mean N26 are not yet fully plugged into Pay.UK systems, but am not 100% sure on Bacs payments.

Not a clear post on my part, I’m sorry.

Apparently not:

Faster Payments can be sent to this sort code.

Bacs payments cannot be sent to this sort code.

CHAPS Payments cannot be sent to this sort code.

Not eligible for Cheque & Credit Clearing.

Damm, thanks for clearing that up…not much use for N26 then

According to the EISCD (provided by BACS), N26 can do Direct Debits now!22

If there’s going to be months of forcing Direct Debit originators to accept N26’s sort code, like Monzo has had to battle against, then I won’t use N26 as any kind of main account.

For me, it fills a pre–pay space left by Monzo conversion to full current account.

it’s only today N26 says anyone can apply for a UK bank account so I assume BACS and DD will be available soon, am still waiting on my card though it still says it’s in Germany and my account was opened on the 12/11

I got the same.

The email said it will be delivered today…ups tracking says Thursday…
I went on live chat this morning…they said, card is not even printed yet

Anyone got pic of the n26 uk card?

According to UPS the card is not with them yet (in my case), so I am assuming N26 are struggling with the demand? :man_shrugging:

I signed up on the 15th (evening) via video chat.

I had the UPS tracking email on the 16th, saying it would arrive today.

UPS is currently showing no change - “Label created”, that’s it.

I’ve just spoken to N26 in app chat - They answered immediately which was great (although they asked for my account opening date and account number - 2 things I thought they would have already!)

They confirmed that they’ve had UPS issues, that I should ignore the tracking info and that my card should arrive tomorrow…

Whether it does or not, is anyones guess!

Just tried the app; was greeted with this monstrosity when attempting to sign up:

I am in an app; there shouldn’t be any discussion about cookies at all. Not to mention, on the technical side its cookie container is isolated from the system browser anyway so no risk of tracking either. Why talk about “optimise the website”? This is an app. If you want to be lazy and load your website in a web view at least be lazy properly and pass a flag to the website (URL parameter, etc) to tell it to behave like an app and remove this kind of nonsense.

Also apparently “targeted information” is the new name for ads/cancer. Sneaky.

Bonus: found a way to escape their signup form and open the Monzo website in the N26 app

Can anyone find a way to contact them pre being verified?

I can only find info to contact them via the app or after signing in on the web app!?

Maybe try support@n26.com, worst-case it will bounce.

I’ll give it a go; I haven’t put anything too personal in the email just in case. :stuck_out_tongue:

The ideas address, bounces back saying thanks for the suggestion and that no support can be done via that address; the web app tells me to continue in the phone app.

A little worrying if anyone gets locked out of the app; I can’t find a simple easy way to get in touch with them! :fearful:

EDIT: IT WORKED! Thanks @anon77363772

Presumably there would be a phone number on the back of the card so you’re not completely screwed in case you lose access to your app.

You can access support on their website (once you’ve logged into your account).

Fair, I haven’t got a card yet though. :stuck_out_tongue:
